Privacy Policy
Effective date: 14 August 2026 Last updated: 14 August 2026
Quarry is run by QUARRY LLC, an Oklahoma limited liability company. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and what you can tell us to do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
If anything here is unclear, email support@quarrybids.com and ask. We would rather answer the question than have you guess.
The short version
- We collect the information you give us to run your account, plus basic usage data so we can tell whether the product is working.
- We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not run ad networks or advertising trackers on this site.
- We never see your full payment card number.
- We do not send your search terms to our analytics. We record that a search happened and how long the query was, not what you typed.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will do it. You do not need to live in a particular state to ask.
Who we are

What Quarry actually does
Quarry takes contract opportunity notices that federal agencies publish publicly on SAM.gov and rewrites them in plain English so a small business owner can tell whether a contract is worth pursuing.
Quarry is not affiliated with SAM.gov, the U.S. General Services Administration, or any government agency. We are not endorsed by any agency and we do not act on any agency's behalf.
Registering in SAM.gov is free and always has been. You do it yourself at sam.gov. We do not do it for you, we do not charge for it, and if anyone tells you it costs money, they are not us.
Information we collect
1. Information you give us
Account information, handled by our authentication provider Clerk: your email address, your name if you provide it, and your login credentials. Clerk stores your password; we never see it.
Business profile information, which you enter yourself in the onboarding steps and can edit or clear at any time:
- Company name
- What kind of work you do, and a description of your capabilities
- NAICS codes and states you work in
- Certifications you hold (for example, small business or veteran-owned status)
- Crew size, maximum job value, bonding status and limit, whether you take concurrent jobs
- Your SAM.gov registration status and your UEI, if you choose to enter it
- A description of past work
- Your alert preferences
All of it is optional. It exists so Quarry can tell you which opportunities actually fit your business instead of showing you everything. If you would rather not tell us, the product still works; it just matches less well.
Saved items: opportunities you bookmark and searches you save.
Feedback you submit about a summary or the product: the message you write, the category and reason you pick, which opportunity it referred to, the verdict you were reacting to, and the page you were on when you sent it.
Anything you email us.
2. Information collected automatically
Usage analytics, through PostHog, which we run on our own subdomain
(e.quarrybids.com) rather than through a third-party tracking domain. This covers
which pages you visit, which features you use, your general location derived from IP
address, your browser and device type, and referring site.
Session recordings. PostHog records how users move through the interface (clicks, scrolling, navigation, browser console messages, and network request timings) so we can find where the product breaks or confuses people. Text you type into form fields is masked and is not recorded. We do not capture the contents of network requests or responses.
Card details are entered on Stripe's own hosted payment fields, which our recorder cannot reach, so your card number never appears in a recording.
Server logs, kept by our hosting providers, including IP address and request details.
3. Payment information
Billing runs through Stripe. When you subscribe, you enter your card details directly with Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. We can see the last four digits, the card brand, expiry, your billing contact details, and your payment history, which is the same information you would see on a receipt.
What we deliberately do not collect
We have specifically configured our analytics so that the following never reach it:
- The text of your searches
- Your company name
- Your UEI, CAGE code, or any other government identifier
- Your email address or full name
- Anything you type into a form field
This is a deliberate choice, not an accident of configuration. You may search for your own company or a competitor's, and that is not information we want to be holding.
Why we use it
| Purpose | What it uses |
|---|---|
| Create and secure your account | Account information |
| Match opportunities to your business | Business profile |
| Show you your saved items and send alerts you asked for | Saved items, alert preferences |
| Take payment and manage your subscription | Payment information |
| Understand what is and is not working in the product | Usage analytics, session recordings |
| Answer your emails and fix what you report | Feedback, correspondence |
| Keep the service running and prevent abuse | Server logs |
| Meet legal and tax obligations | Payment and account records |
Who we share it with
We use these companies to run Quarry. Each one gets only what it needs.
| Provider | What it does | What it gets |
|---|---|---|
| Clerk | Login and account security | Email, name, credentials |
| Supabase | Database (hosted in the United States) | Profile, saved items, feedback, administrative activity logs |
| Vercel | Website hosting | Server log data |
| Cloudflare | DNS and traffic routing for our analytics subdomain | Request data in transit |
| PostHog | Product analytics and session recording | Usage events tied to an internal account ID, IP address, session recordings, console messages, and performance data |
| Stripe | Payments and subscription billing | Name, email, billing and card details |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, if we need to enforce our Terms of Service, or if we ever sell or transfer the business, in which case we will tell you before your information moves.
That is the complete list. We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, marketing networks, or anyone else.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have never done this and we do not have a plan to start. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and tell you before it takes effect.
Cookies and tracking
We use two kinds of cookies and similar storage:
Essential. These keep you logged in and keep your session secure. The product does not work without them.
Analytics. These let us count visits and understand feature use through PostHog. They are set from our own domain.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party ad trackers.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will log you out and break the site.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no industry agreement on what a website should do when it receives one, so Quarry does not respond to Do Not Track signals. We are telling you that plainly because California law requires us to say one way or the other.
Third parties tracking you across sites
We do not permit third parties to collect information about your activity across different websites through Quarry.
Your choices and rights
Whoever you are and wherever you live, you can:
- Get a copy of the information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your account and the data attached to it
- Opt out of analytics: email us and we will exclude your account from analytics and session recording
- Turn off alert emails in your profile at any time
Email support@quarrybids.com. We will confirm within a few days and complete the request within 45 days. We will not charge you and we will not make the product worse for you because you asked.
Some states give their residents these rights by statute. Rather than track which state you live in, we extend them to everyone.
Some records survive account deletion. We keep payment and transaction records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically seven years. We cannot delete those on request.
How long we keep things
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Account and profile | While your account is open, then deleted within 30 days of closure |
| Saved items and searches | Same as your account |
| Session recordings | 30 days, then deleted automatically |
| Usage analytics | Approximately 12 months |
| Server logs | As long as our hosting providers retain them, typically 30 days |
| Payment and tax records | 7 years, as law requires |
| Feedback you submit | While it is useful for fixing the product |
Security
Your connection to Quarry is encrypted. Your data is stored on servers in the United States with access controls at the row level, so no customer account can read another customer's data. Our staff can access account data when needed to provide support or fix a problem. Passwords are handled by Clerk and never stored by us. Card numbers are handled by Stripe and never stored by us.
No system is perfectly secure, and we are not going to claim otherwise. If a breach ever affects your information, we will notify you as required by Oklahoma's Security Breach Notification Act and the law of your state.
Where your data lives
Quarry is a United States service for United States businesses. Data is stored and processed in the United States. We do not target the product at people in the European Union or the United Kingdom.
Children
Quarry is for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If the change materially affects how we handle your information, we will email account holders before it takes effect. We will not make a material change quietly.
