Quarry works inside the AI assistant you already use. Connect it once, and you can ask things like "find open roofing work set aside for small businesses in Virginia" or "walk me through the bid or no-bid questions for my newest pursuit," and your assistant answers from Quarry's data instead of guessing.

1 · Get the address and an account

The address is https://quarrybids.com/api/mcp. Connecting needs a Quarry account, and the free Explorer plan is enough: start free with no card, then come back here.

Once you sign in, your assistant can search open notices, read a notice and its documents list, suggest NAICS and PSC codes, show size standards and federal spending for a code, check a HUBZone address, read the Quarry guides and glossary, and work with your own matches, pursuits, deadlines, bid or no-bid answers, and notes. Reading the solicitation documents comes with Quarry Navigator.

2 · Claude

On claude.ai (Pro and Max plans, and Free with one custom connector):

1. Open Customize, then Connectors, and choose +, then Add custom connector.
2. Name it Quarry and paste https://quarrybids.com/api/mcp.
3. Select Add, then Connect, and sign in to Quarry when asked.

A connector you add on the web also appears in the Claude desktop app. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds it under Organization settings, then Connectors, and members connect from Customize, then Connectors.

In Claude Code, run:

then type /mcp inside Claude Code to sign in.

3 · ChatGPT

Custom connections run in developer mode on the web (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education plans):

1. In Settings, then Security and login, turn on Developer mode.
2. Go to chatgpt.com/plugins and choose +.
3. Name it Quarry, paste https://quarrybids.com/api/mcp under Connection, and select Create, then sign in to Quarry when asked.
4. In a chat, open the + menu, choose Developer mode, and select Quarry.

4 · Other assistants and tools

• Gemini (personal accounts in the US): Settings, then Connected Apps, then Add a custom app, and paste the address.
• Mistral Le Chat: Connectors, then Add Connector, then Custom MCP Connector, and paste the address.
• Microsoft Copilot Studio: in your agent, Tools, then Add a tool, then Model Context Protocol, with OAuth 2.0 and dynamic discovery as the authentication.
• Grok: grok.com/connectors, then New Connector, then Custom, and paste the address.

Menus change often. If a step here does not match what you see, the assistant's own help pages have the current path.

5 · Try it

A few questions that show what the connection can do:

• "What NAICS code fits a commercial cleaning business, and what counts as small for it?"
• "Show my matches and tell me which ones are a strong fit."
• "Explain notice [paste a notice id] in plain English."
• "Help me draft a response to this sources sought notice from my profile."

6 · What your assistant can and cannot change

Signed in, your assistant acts as you. It can watch and unwatch notices, start qualifying a pursuit, hide or restore a notice, save the bid or no-bid answers you give it, and add notes. Moving a pursuit to a later stage and recording an outcome stay in the Quarry app, where you make those calls yourself. Quarry never submits anything to an agency.

What your assistant reads from Quarry goes to that assistant's provider under the terms you have with them. To end the connection, remove Quarry in your assistant's settings. Questions go to support@quarrybids.com.
